There really isn’t anything like a good book. I’ve always loved reading, and there’s nothing better than a cant put down kinda book. I have different books for different moods and settings, but these are the ones I wish I could erase from my memory just to experience them again for the first time. These are my top book recommendations for 2025—the stories I still think about, talk about, and push everyone I know to read. You can get these all from Amazon.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

This is my favorite book of all time. If you haven’t read this one yet, add it to the top of your list. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is one of the best fiction books for women—glamorous, emotional, and full of secrets. Evelyn Hugo is truly 100% an icon. She’s bold, complicated, and an overall inspiration. I was absolutely thrilled when my book club selected this to read because it gave me a reason to read it a second time. The book takes place in Old Hollywood glam where secrets spilled and emotional chaos collide in the best way possible. It’s one of those books that makes you think about love, sacrifice, and what it really costs to get everything you want.

 The Housemaid by Freida McFadden

Looking for a psychological thriller that keeps you guessing? The Housemaid delivers.. Deception, class, and desperation were the themes that stood out to me and my book club the most. This is another really good pick from the group. Initially on first read I thought it’d be a slow chill thriller but then I ended up finishing it in 5 days. It’s so juicy, and full of twists that’ll have you analyzing each character. The author Frieda McFadden is an entertaining storyteller. I found myself on the edge of my seat while also having a good laugh. Definitely one of those “I just need to know what happens next” reads.

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

The Silent Patient is a psychological thriller with an ending you won’t see coming. This is the kind of book that makes you stop mid-page like, “Wait… what?” – and flip back to previous pages trying to connect the dots. It’s creepy in a subtle way—more psychological than scary. The plot follows a woman who goes completely silent after a shocking crime and the therapist who’s obsessed with finding out why. The ending had my jaw on the floor. Ima leave it at that.

My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh

My Year of Rest and Relaxation is unlike anything I’ve ever read—and I weirdly loved it. I feel like it was made for tired girls in their 20s. It follows a woman who decides to sleep for a year as a way to escape reality and reset. It’s dark humor, sarcastic, and kind of unsettling, but in a “I totally get her” way. It’s not a feel-good book, but it is one that makes you think about burnout, loneliness, and the weird ways we try to cope. Lets just say I felt her in my core.

Each of these books hit differently, but they’ve all stuck with me in their own way. Whether you’re in the mood for drama, mystery, or a little bit of existential chaos, these are the ones I’d recommend every single time.
